Who We Are
Malvio is a consultancy and project management business set up by Malcolm Corbett and Dr Viorica Chelban.
Malcolm has more than 30 years experience in the Internet and broadband industry. In 2010 he founded the Independent Networks Co-operative Association, INCA.coop to represent the interests of the nascent ‘altnet’ sector of organisations building full fibre and wireless broadband networks competing against BT. Since then the altnets have grown into a major force in the UK broadband industry.
Malcolm led INCA until the end of 2024.
Dr Viorica Chelban is a neurologist and neuro-scientist specialising in rare diseases. Her work in neurogenetics led to the discovery of three diseases that were previously undiagnosed. She is one of the UK’s foremost experts in the disease Multiple System Atrophy and is leading drug trials to treat the condition.
Viorica is widely published and leads a team at the Institute of Neurology, UCL.
